Presentation Information
POSTER PRESENTATION AUTHORS:
Authors should be present during the hours of 6:30 p.m. – 8:30
p.m., Monday, Tuesday and/or Wednesday evening.
Poster papers are to be posted 15 minutes prior to the start of
the session. Four-foot-high by eight-foot-wide posterboards will be
provided. YOU SHOULD BRING YOUR OWN THUMBTACKS OR VELCRO.
Your poster should have the name and local phone number of the
presenting author displayed in case someone wishes to contact you
while at the conference. The three best papers in each of the XRD
and the XRF Poster Sessions will be selected and will receive
certificates by mail. The winners will be announced at the
conference dinner. PLEASE REMOVE YOUR POSTER IMMEDIATELY AFTER
THE POSTER SESSION. The room and the boards are needed for
subsequent sessions. ICDD is not responsible for any poster(s) left
in the room.
ORAL PRESENTATION AUTHORS:
All speakers are asked to meet with their Session Chair 15 minutes
before the start of their session in the room in which the session
will be held. These meetings assure the Chair that you are present
and also give you time to load your own 35 mm slides (if you plan to
use slides).
Regular Oral Papers:
15 minutes is allotted for the presentation of your paper and five
minutes for discussion.
Invited Oral Papers:
25 minutes is allotted for the presentation of your paper and five
minutes for discussion.
Plenary Session Papers:
35 minutes is allotted for the presentation of your paper and five
minutes for discussion. There will be a projectionist present for
the Plenary Session.
Equipment:
- Each room will be equipped with an overhead projector and
screen
- 35mm slide projectors will be available upon request. To
reserve a 35 mm projector or to request additional equipment,

NO LATER THAN JULY 3.
Speaker Ready Room:
A preparation room will be available for speakers’ use during
the conference. Please check at the conference registration desk for
the exact location. Also, when you arrive at the conference, please
stop by at the Conference Registration Desk and confirm your
attendance as a speaker, either regular or invited.
All attendees, both regular and invited speakers,
and poster presentation authors must register for the conference. Pre-registration
is strongly recommended.
