Presentation Guidelines

Please reference the conference Program, and note the time and place in which your paper(s) will be presented.

POSTER PRESENTATION AUTHORS:

Poster papers are to be posted 15 minutes prior to the start of the session. Authors should be present during the hours of 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Four-foot-high by eight-foot-wide posterboards will be provided. YOU SHOULD BRING YOUR OWN THUMBTACKS OR VELCRO.

Your poster should have the name and local phone number of the presenting author displayed in case someone wishes to contact you while at the conference. The two best papers in each of the XRD poster sessions, and the three best winners in the XRF Poster Session will be selected and will receive certificates by mail. The names of the winners will be posted the following morning on an announcement board near the conference registration desk.

PLEASE REMOVE YOUR POSTER IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE POSTER SESSION. ICDD is not responsible for any poster(s) left in the room.

ORAL PRESENTATION AUTHORS:

All speakers are asked to meet with their Session Organizer 15 minutes before the start of their session in the room in which the session will be held, to assure the organizer that you are present.

Regular Oral Papers:
15 minutes is allotted for the presentation of your paper and five minutes for discussion.

Invited Oral Papers:
25 minutes is allotted for the presentation of your paper and five minutes for discussion.

Plenary Session Papers:
Plenary session speakers should consult the conference Program regarding the time allotted for their presentations. There will be a projectionist present for the Plenary Session.

Equipment:

  • Each room will be equipped with an overhead projector and screen, and a video projector, typically SVGA resolution (800 x 600 or higher, depending on availability). If you are planning to use video projection, please be advised that most sessions are not individually staffed with A/V support personnel. Equipment failure, set up difficulties, or incompatibilities may take some time to resolve. For this reason, you might consider having a backup presentation method prepared, such as transparencies.
  • 35mm slide projectors will be available only upon request. To reserve one, please contact Denise Zulli (610-325-9814, e-mail: zulli@icdd.com) NO LATER THAN 1 JULY 2003.

Speaker Ready Room:
A preparation room will be available for speakers' use during the conference. Please check at the conference registration desk for the exact location.
